I am a Cablevision subscriber on Long Island and have been having issues with receiving the 15 VOOM channels as well as the MLB package I also subscribe to. For the past month or so, without any set pattern, I frequently tune to these channels and receive a "Channel Not Available - Try Again Later" message or worse yet, very bad pixelation (the picture is very distorted etc.). I called Cablevision several times and at first was told they knew of the problem and were working to correct it. After it continued for more than a couple weeks, and being told by the Cablevision service rep that the problem was corrected a while ago, they sent out a Tech to my house.
The Cablevision tech guy just left my house and tells me they have a problem at the "head end" on their part and "hopefully" it will corrected soon. He added the reason it is only on these specific channels is they have been conversted over to SDV which is causing issues. I asked for reimbursement on at last the MLB package which to date has received no confirmation.
Just wanted to offer this out in case anyone else out these is having the same issues - as stated before, it only seems to be with VOOM and MLB so far - anyone have any suggestions on the reimbursement issue?
